Securing a holiday property with a deposit

Majorca Direct uses secure online payment system. We manage & receive deposits & booking payments on behalf of the guests for booking a holiday property or hotel in Majorca.

This ensures peace of mind for both the guests and holiday property owner alike. In case of a booking cancellation, the guests booking deposits are protected & guests are assured a full refund which is always guaranteed by us

There are however other holiday accommodation suppliers that requires NO deposit and there will be no down payment required from you, and you will only pay upon your arrival to the holiday property or hotel premises

Note: To insure peace of mind for all our guests booking holiday properties or hotels in Mallorca with us, All holiday properties & hotels listed with us are physically checked & visited by one of our portfolio managers, this policy ensures safety of guests, ensuring high standards of holiday properties or hotels listed with us.

NOTE: PRIOR TO THE GUESTS ARRIVAL TO THE HOLIDAY PROPERTY OR HOTEL, THE HOLIDAY PROPERTY OWNERS OR HOTEL MANAGERS ARE NOT ALLOWED AND WILL NEVER ASK FOR DOWN PAYMENTS OR ANY OTHER PAYMENTS FROM THE GUESTS. MAJORCADIRECT.COM CUSTOMER SERVICE WILL NEVER ASK FOR YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER OR CVV OVER THE PHONE OR EMAILS. THESE ARE ONE OF THE MEASURES TO PROTECT GUESTS AND HOLIDAY PROPERTY OWNERS / HOTELS AGAINST FRAUD.

Paying a deposit to secure your holiday property with us in Majorca depends on the owners down payment conditions & policies, most holiday property owners request 30% down payment to secure a booking, you just pay a deposit from the total amount of the booking which can be fully refunded if a cancelation is made depending on the cancelation policy of the holiday property owners, cancellation policies can vary between 7 to 90 days and will be clearly outlined on the holiday property booking terms & conditions and cancellation policy

Paying a deposit helps secure a holiday property early and budget for your holiday and you won't have to pay your full balance up to 7 to 90 days before you check-in to the holiday property, this also depends on when you made the booking & the holiday owner cancellation policy

For example: a holiday home owners can have one of these 5 cancellation policies, which will be always displayed on the holiday property listing terms & conditions:

Flexible. (7 days) Moderate. (14 days) Strict. (21 days) and Super Strict (35 days). and from time to time there are other cancelation policies up to maximum 90 days. You are eligible a full deposit refund if you cancel your booking before the cancellation policy date

Guests Refund Policy

Guests may cancel and review any penalties associated with the cancellation. Guests can cancel a reservation by viewing their booking on the My Trips page and then clicking 'Cancel' on the reservation made.

Majorcadirect.com, will refund the full deposit 24 hours after the cancellation is made by the guests

    “Example of cancellation made by guests with 90 days cancellation policy, this example also applies to 7,14,21 & 35 days cancellation policies :”

    Example: 90 days cancellation policy: Full refund if a cancellation is made more then 90 days prior to the Check In time

  1. Guests can receive a full refund of accommodation fees (the total nightly rate you're charged) if the cancellation is made more then 90 days prior to the booking local check-in time
  2. The guests will be eligible for a full refund if the holiday property is unsafe
  3. Note: All holiday properties & hotels listed with us are physically checked by our portfolio managers, which visits the holiday premises for Safety, high standards & meeting the owners/managers of the holiday properties or hotels.
  4. The guests will be eligible for a full refund if the holiday property listed booking is not accurate and misleading, e.g: regarding the number of bedrooms, bathrooms, amenities and location
  5. Cleaning fees will always be refunded if the guests cancels more then 90 days before check-in time
  6. If the guests fail to cancel less than 90 days before check-in time, the total amount of the booking fees are non-refundable, the cleaning fee is not refundable, and the guests will not receive a refund
  7. If the guests arrives and decides to leave early, the accommodation fees for the nights not spent are not refunded, the cleaning fee is not refundable, and the guests will not receive a refund for the remaining nights
  8. The guests may be eligible for a refund if the holiday property or apart-hotel owner fails to provide reasonable access to the holiday property
  9. A refund can be issued if there is a complaint from either party. Notice must be given to MajorcaDirect.com within 24 hours of the check-in time. MajorcaDirect.com will review & mediate when necessary, and has the final say in all disputes
